HEC Is Under Enormous Pressure Regarding Fake Degree Issues

Dr. Atta ur Rehman said to the private Pakistani TV channel that the HEC (Higher Education Commission) is under enormous pressure regarding the fake degree issues. HEC asked ECP (Election Commission of Pakistan) to provide the copies of degree of matric and intermediate of the lawmakers, so that these degrees can be verified. ECP provided 1084 degrees to the HEC. HEC gave 603 degrees back from which 545 were genuine and 58 were fake. About the 11 degrees the ECP did not provide to the HEC and the chairman of HEC said that degrees that are unverified from the HEC are deemed fake. In this government there are many lawmakers, parliamentarians who do not have the original/genuine degrees.People say that Mr.  President also comes in this category, this issue was popped up by Pakistani media.  Thats why the government officials are pressurizing HEC.
